Plain-English summary

This website is a marketing and compliance surface. We do not run user accounts, behavioural analytics, or advertising tracking.

The desktop application is designed to store portfolio data locally on your device under your control.

If you contact us via email, we use your message only to respond and provide support.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • The Pulse Neuron website (pages published under pulseneuron.com.au).
  • The Pulse Neuron Portfolio Manager desktop application distributed via the Microsoft Store (the Software).

2. Summary (privacy by design)

In short

We minimise collection of personal information. We do not operate website accounts, behavioural analytics, or advertising tracking. The Software is designed to keep portfolio data local to your device.

What we do and do not do

We do

  • Use standard hosting security and reliability logging.
  • Respond to support requests you email to us.
  • Provide clear documentation and policy pages.

We do not

  • Run website logins, user profiles, or marketing databases.
  • Use advertising trackers, pixels, or behavioural profiling.
  • Collect your portfolio holdings through this website.

Where limited technical information is processed (for example, standard hosting logs), it is used for reliability and security rather than profiling or advertising.

3. Information we collect on this website

This website does not provide user accounts or logins. We do not intentionally collect personal information via forms on this website.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, marketing pixels, or behavioural advertising on this website.

4. Hosting, security, and technical logs

Like most websites, the infrastructure used to host and deliver pages may generate limited technical logs for operational and security purposes.

Typical log fields may include

IP address

Used for security, abuse prevention, and delivery.

User agent

Browser and device info for compatibility and debugging.

Request path

The page or file requested (for reliability diagnostics).

Timestamp

When the request occurred (for tracing incidents).

We do not use logs for advertising or profiling. Access to logs is limited to operational and security needs (for example, diagnosing errors, rate limiting, and abuse prevention).

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Pulse Neuron does not use cookies on this website for analytics, advertising, or marketing.

Some platforms may set essential cookies or use similar mechanisms for basic security and performance (for example, DDoS protection or request integrity). Where this occurs, the purpose is functional and security-related, not tracking.

6. Information handled by the desktop application

The Software is designed as a local-first desktop application. Portfolio information you enter (such as holdings, members, transactions, allocations, and reports) is intended to be stored locally on your device and under your control.

Pulse Neuron does not receive your portfolio data through this website.

Practical guidance

If you choose to back up your local data, you control where that backup is stored (for example, an external drive or your chosen cloud provider). Your backup provider’s privacy terms apply to that backup.

7. Market data and third-party services

The Software may enable you to refresh prices or view market information using third-party data sources (for example, market data APIs). When the Software interacts with third-party services, those services may receive technical request information (such as IP address and request details) as part of normal network operation.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Pulse Neuron does not control how third parties handle data.

What this means

  • Price refresh requests go from your device to the relevant data provider.
  • Data providers may see technical network metadata as part of normal service delivery.
  • Pulse Neuron does not use these interactions for advertising or profiling.

8. Email contact

If you email us (for example, for support or licensing questions), we will receive the content of your message and your email address. We use this information only to respond and provide support.

We do not sell or rent contact information. We may retain support correspondence to maintain continuity and improve support outcomes, subject to reasonable operational retention practices.

9. Data retention

Because this website does not intentionally collect personal information for accounts or profiles, we do not maintain a customer database from website usage.

If technical logs exist, retention periods are determined by operational and security requirements and may vary depending on infrastructure. We aim to retain logs only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.

10. International access

Pulse Neuron is based in Australia. If you access the website or contact us from outside Australia, information may be processed in Australia or in the regions where hosting infrastructure operates.

11. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the website and associated systems against unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s privacy

This website and Software are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

13. Your rights (Australia)

Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), including rights to request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you.

Because we aim not to collect personal information via this website (outside of direct communications such as email), the scope of information we may hold is typically limited.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, operational, or legal changes. The “Last updated” date indicates the most recent revision.
